Spend your first night in Bolivia’s capital, La Paz, before going on to Lake Titicaca. Follow the Altiplano, passing through local villages until you reach Copacabana (no, not that one), on the lake’s shores. Pay your respects to the Virgen Morena for safe passage to the Island of the Sun, where you’ll see the Inca ruins of Pilkokaina, and spend the night. In the early morning, descend the ancient stairs to the Waters of the Eternal Youth (worth a shot, right?). Then visit the Chincana ruins and the Island of the Moon before returning to Copacabana.
