"Vitoslavlitsy" - one of the most interesting museums of folk wooden architecture - is located 4 kilometers from Veliky Novgorod, in a picturesque area on the shore of Lake Myachino near the Yuryev Monastery. In 1964, the first exhibit was transported there - the Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God in 1595 from the village of Kuritsko. In the XII century, the Panteleimonov Monastery was founded here. Now the museum contains the best surviving examples of folk wooden architecture.
