Hotel Pick-up

Anastasia (our guide) will come to your hotel (lobby area) or any other indicated address to begin the tour from there. If you stay outside of the city area, we will offer you alternative meeting options.

Pancakes
Have breakfast like a Russian - eat flat pancakes with salmon, caviar, sour cream or jam. Tradition of making pancakes is as old as the country itself. One week before Easter Russian people eat pancakes every day.

Syrniki
Then order cheese pancakes called syrniki and eat them with honey. They are made of tvorog - Russian cottage cheese. Still hungry? Have some Guriev porridge and become as strong as one of our emperors.

Borshch
Then have lunch, which can include aspic (holodets), one of traditional Russian soups or beef stroganoff.

Pelmeni
Don't forget to try vareniki or pelmeni (sweet or savory dumplings), which came to Russia from China and became a perfect dish for Russian climate.

Vodka
With such a substantial meal you can drink a shot of Russian vodka and eat after-bites (pickled vegetables and mushrooms, herring or salo - salted pork fat).

Russian Cake
If you are still hungry, try golubtsi (cabbage rolls) and then have a cup of tea with a dessert, which was designed for an empress.

Russian Tea
In Russia people drink a lot of tea, including herbal tea. One of the most popular types of herbal tea is Ivan-chai (rosebay willowherb).

Back to your hotel
At the end of the tour we will take you back to your hotel.
