There’s no better place to relive the history of Deer Lake and the Humber Valley than at the Roy Whalen Regional Heritage Center. Here you can see the various tools and instruments used by our forbearers to carve a living out of the wilderness. Artifacts and antiques on display the depicts the daily lives of the town’s first settlers. It’s earliest beginnings area alive in the memories of our seniors, and in our stories, our crafts and in the objects that remain from those days.
