Queer Tour

I’m an English teacher by day and a party animal by night. I am tired of the stereotypes about Russian gay life, which is actually not that horrible as media tends to describe it. I want to show everyone how gay Moscow can be, and trust me, I’m the man for the job!

Russia has a reputation of being unwelcoming to the LGBT community. I’d like to break the stereotype & show my guests an incredible side of the city’s friendly LGBT life, with it’s glamour, amazing drag shows, cool bars, hot men, “Russian gay banyas” & more! I’ll meet you at Plevna Chapel, a spot that became famous for being the LGBT’s meeting point in the 90s. I’ll tell you some anecdotes about Moscow’s gay scene and it’s history. From there we’ll explore the area’s most famous bar Propaganda, where I’ll give you tips on Moscow’s nightlife & share a special map. We’ll continue to LaSky, a support centre for LGBT and HIV+, we’ll meet their founder, who will tell us a little bit about their work. We’ll finish our tour at MONO bar – Moscow’s trendiest gay bar & we’ll have our final drink.
