Novodevichiy monastery and surrounding grounds, guarded by ancient walls have been a part of Russian religious and carnal life for many centuries. The complex was attacked by Mongols and French and even used as a prison. Novodevichiy – one of the oldest and the most beautiful monasteries of Moscow with clean air, pond and true spirit of ancient Russia.
The architectural complex of Novodevichiy convent is recognized as an object of the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites.

The convent is under reconstruction until 2022. Facades are partly covered with temporary constructions and can not be seen.
