The Manu National Park is one of the largest tropical parks in South America, located in the southeastern part, in the departments of Cusco and Madre de Dios, it covers 2 million hectares of flora and fauna territory, with a variety of habitats of the highlands of the Andes and the tropical and subtropical regions of the Andes. In the Manu National Park there are testimonies of ancient cultures such as the Pusharo petroglyphs, a set of engravings whose origin and meaning have not yet been explained, which were reported for the first time by Father Vicente de Cenitagoya in 1921 and The Shinkibenia River, a tributary of the Palotoa River, is located on the right bank; other petroglyphs are found in the Qéros river, on the great Xinkiori rock, legendary for the Huachipaeris.
