Food Tour starts from the gate to the building, where you will see the typical city’s courtyard which is shared by the houses’ residents. I will bring my guests upstairs to our old style apartment with original XIX century furniture and art and tell them about this place and also about our family, that has been living in the historic center over the past 120 years. We will have tea or coffee with my mouth-watering homemade cookies before we start cooking typical Russian vegetable soup ‘borscht” and baking a cabbage or meat pie or Russian pirozhki (small pastry).
We have many things to discuss as we cook such as the city and its history, life in the former USSR and nowadays Russia and, of course, Russian jokes. After that, we will enjoy the food we have cooked together.
