Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort

The Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort is a family run and operated eco-tourism business. Peter Gash, family and several partners have held the lease from the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority to operate the resort since 2005. Since this time, enormous strides have been made to introduce sustainable initiatives to convert the resort to renewable energy with the goal to be 100% renewable by 2020. Lady Elliot Island is located 120kms north east of Hervey Bay on the Southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. The Island is regarded as one of the best diving and snorkelling locations on the Great Barrier Reef and is famous for its unspoilt coral reef and amazing array of spectacular marine life. Guests can explore the reef in a glass bottom boat, snorkel/dive, take a guided reef walk or enjoy a range of guided eco tours. With exceptionally clear water year-round, guests will discover a diverse range of coral, colourful fish, encounter turtles, dolphins and our resident manta rays.
