Various exhibitions are held in several separate buildings of the museum reserve. Among them are rooms dedicated to Altai's gems and the ethnographic heritage of Kazakhs from East Kazakhstan between the end of the 19th and the middle of the 20th century. ”. From the beginning of May to the end of October, the open-air museum-reserve is open in the Jastar Ethnic Park, showcasing monuments of traditional architecture.

The left-bank complex of the museum-reserve is a great place to spend time with friends or family. Highlights include a zoo, an ethnic village, several exhibition halls and even a beach.

A walk along the well-groomed alleys, connecting the coastal strip with the park, will surely be very pleasant. Along the hiking trails there are places where one can sit and rest for a while,such as gazebos, benches, and lawns. You can rent a boat if desired, and children of preschool and primary school age will be delighted to visit the Fairytale Country Entertainment Complex. In addition, there is an alley where real military equipment is displayed.
