We begin our ride right from the bike shop in downtown Vallarta. We'll warm up with a nice spin following the gorgeous Rio Cuale for 5K, where we'll pass through the small, colorful pueblos of Paso Ancho, Paso del Guayabo, and Los Almacenes. From Los Almacenes, we will begin a quick, steep, and sometimes tricky 5K climb. You'll be amazed at the dense tropical jungle we find ourselves in: macaws, coatis, and if the climb doesn't have you breathing too loudly: deer. From the top, we'll enjoy a spectacular view of the Rio Cuale Valley before we start our exhilarating downhill ride.
This technical descent will challenge and excite the most advanced of riders with roots, rocks, and sand. It's a white-knuckle adventure that will keep you on your toes the entire way down! 15 minutes later, we'll reach Los Almacenes again. From there, we'll wrap it all up with a nice 5K cool down back to the bike shop.
