Designed to inspire, Atix Hotel represents the new face of hospitality in Bolivia. Atix, the one who thrives in Quechua, aims to share the cultural wealth of Bolivia with the rest of the world.

The hotel facade is clad in native Bolivian wood and Comanche stone, which paved the streets of La Paz between the 1920’s and 1930’s. The stone comes from the village of Comanche, located 70km outside of the city, where the only quarry in the world shares a space with the famous Puya Raimondii—a millenary bromeliad which flowers every 100 years.

The design of the hotel is the result of a collaboration with New York design studios, Narofsky Architecture and Ways2Design. The enigmatic structure of Atix is shaped like a parallelogram, defined by floor-to-ceiling windows, which immerse guests in the surrounding Andean Valley.

At Atix, our guests will be able to appreciate first-class Bolivian art, try local cuisine and live stories worth telling. Designed to be a live-in art gallery, Atix exhibits photography and art in the corridors, rooms and common areas by distinguished Bolivian artist Gastón Ugalde, also known as the “Andy Warhol of the Andes.” The on-site restaurant celebrates the best of Bolivian gastronomy. The rooftop bar serves the finest cocktails next to an infinity pool, paired with unparalleled views of the city.

Set in the Zona Sur district, Atix Hotel is located in the vibrant, exclusive neighborhood of Calacoto, approximately 20 minutes from downtown La Paz and 40 minutes from El Alto International Airport.
